You're invited to attend the Interstate 90 Peak Use Shoulder Lane open house to learn how the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is relieving congestion between State Route 900 in Issaquah and Eastgate in Bellevue.
The open house is 5-8 p.m. June 29, 2017, at Tibbetts Creek Manor, 750 17th Ave. N.W. Attendees are welcome to drop by any time.
Why is WSDOT building this project?
As population grows in the Puget Sound region, so does traffic congestion. In an effort to ease congestion along this portion of I-90, WSDOT is creating a westbound peak use shoulder lane between SR 900 and Eastgate, and adding an eastbound lane between Eastgate and Lakemont Boulevard. Ultimately, this project will create additional capacity for drivers during the morning and afternoon commutes.
