[ARCHIVED] Issaquah Highlands to Receive More Affordable Housing

More affordable housing is coming to Issaquah Highlands, thanks to a recent agreement between the City and Polygon Northwest.

Polygon plans to build 38 affordable condominiums, 10 affordable townhomes and a group home for adults with developmental disabilities in the planned Westridge North neighborhood near Swedish/Issaquah.

In total, Polygon will build 331 homes in Westridge North and 72 in Westridge South.

As part of the agreement, the City provided a 1.1-acre parcel in exchange for the community benefit associated with the affordable housing and group home. In total, 11 market-rate homes will be built on that site.

To complete the project, Polygon will utilize transfer of development rights gained as part of the landmark effort to preserve Park Pointe — more than 100 forested acres on Tiger Mountain.

On June 19, 2017, the City Council authorized the agreements for the development to proceed.
