Join us from 6-7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the
Issaquah Community Center for a second neighborhood meeting about a potential Teen Café.
Earlier this year, at a neighborhood meeting on Oct. 4, the Teen Café was proposed to be housed on city property, located at
185 S.E. Bush St.
The Teen Café is now proposed to be housed on city property located at
235 First Ave. S.E.
Specifically, the Teen Café would be a nonprofit, social-service provider with a mission of providing a safe place for teens to gather. It would include student–lead programming; opportunities for artistic and creative endeavors; counseling support services; and referrals to other agencies. The café would serve high school students who are residing or attending school in the greater Issaquah area.
The Teen Café Committee wants to hear from community members regarding this idea.
