On Wednesday, Feb. 7, King County Solid Waste will hold an open house in Issaquah to accept public comment on the Comprehensive Solid Waste Plan Update.
The County is working together with cities to develop a plan for managing garbage and recycling over the next 20 years. The plan provides direction for how King County and cities within the county will provide the services customers expect, while keeping fees as low and stable as possible.
The open house will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the King County Library Service Center, located at 960 Newport Way in Issaquah.
This is an informal event, so residents are encouraged to drop in anytime to learn more, ask questions and provide comments. Light refreshments and activities for children will be provided. Interpreters (Spanish, ASL, etc.) and accommodations for people with disabilities will be provided when requested at least one week in advance of the meeting. To request accommodations, please call 206-477-4466, TTY Relay: 711.
