Kiwanis Club of Issaquah is hosting a community blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 at 175 Newport Way N.W.
Bloodworks Northwest will have its large mobile unit on site and will take appointments every five minutes.
Anyone who is in good health, is at least 18 years old (persons 16 or 17 years old may donate with a Blood Program permission slip signed by a parent or guardian), and weighs at least 114 pounds may donate blood every 56 days.
Some health conditions or medications may temporarily or permanently prevent persons from donating blood. If you are currently experiencing symptoms of the flu or a cold, you cannot donate. Pregnant women also may not donate. If you have traveled outside the U.S. or Canada in the past year, you may not be eligible to donate. Call 206-292-2543 to inquire.
Donors will need to bring photo ID with your legal name (driver’s license, employee badge, student card) or a Bloodworks NW donor card.
It takes 45-60 minutes to complete a blood donation process, although the actual blood donation of one pint only takes 7-10 minutes. Please consider donating blood to help meet needs of the region.
