You're invited to attend the open house for the I-90 Corridor Improvements to learn how the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) plans to add lanes on both directions of I-90.
As population grows in the Puget Sound region, so does traffic congestion. In an effort to ease this congestion, WSDOT will add capacity on I-90 between the Eastgate and West Lake Sammamish Parkway (WLSP) interchanges by re-striping existing roadway and creating auxiliary lanes. These lanes will be located on the outside of the existing lanes in both directions of I-90, adding capacity and accessibility 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
In addition, WSDOT will reduce noise for local neighbors by installing noise walls along the project. The project will construct new noise barriers in strategic locations along the improved route to minimize traffic noise impact on residents.
