Beginning the week of April 23, the City of Issaquah will be begin upgrading approximately 600 street lights to LED technology. The work is expected to continue through mid-May.
In an effort to minimize traffic disruptions, work hours will vary and night work may be necessary in non-residential areas.
During installation, typically one lane and the adjacent bike lane and sidewalk will be temporarily closed until the work is completed. The work will be done using a bucket truck, and cones and flaggers will provide traffic control and direct drivers.
The project manager is Norman Foster with McKinstry and the installation contractor is Lumenal.
For concerns with traffic control or the work in general, contact Foster at 800-572-8585.
The City’s point of contact for the project is Bret Heath at 425-837-3470.
