Celebrate Father’s Day in Issaquah at the Fenders on Front Street Car Show & Cruise on Sunday, June 16, 2013.
The annual celebration of classic, vintage and muscle cars is presented by the Downtown Issaquah Association.
The City of Issaquah has issued a special event permit for Fenders on Front Street.
Motorists should prepare for event-related road closures. Front Street North from Gilman Boulevard to Sunset Way will be closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 16 for the free, family-friendly event.
Registration will start at 6 a.m. at the Triple XXX Rootbeer Drive-in and the Hailstone Feed Store.
Vehicles will start parking at the Triple XXX, then park along the Staples parking lot to Front Street North, and then along Front Street North toward Sunset Way.
Starting at 3 p.m., car show participants will gather along Front Street North and cruise along West Sunset Way to Newport Way Northwest to Gilman Boulevard.
In addition to the car show and cruise, DJs will play music at the Triple XXX and the Hailstone Feed Store throughout the day. Up to four food trucks will serve food on the north end of Front Street North near Staples parking lot.
Fenders on Front Street attendees can also donate at the event to local nonprofit organizations Life Enrichment Options and Art With Heart.
Organizers expect up to 10,000 people to attend Fenders on Front Street.
