2019 Lodging Tax Advisory Committee 
Recruitment for 2019 LTAC membership is underway. Those who qualify are encouraged to apply by Noon, Jan. 25. Under state law, the committee's membership consists of members from businesses that collect the tax, members involved in activities eligible for lodging tax revenue, and an elected City official, who leads the committee.   

About LTAC 
Lodging Tax Advisory Committee was established in 1998. This committee oversees the City's share of lodging tax. Currently, hotels, motels, and bed-and-breakfast inns collect the City's one percent share of the tax to pay all or any part of the cost of tourism promotion, acquisition of tourism-related facilities or the operation of tourism-related facilities.   

The committee consists of five members and terms are appointed annually.   

Next Steps 
Following review of applications, the Mayor selects appointees ensuring membership requirements are met, and that the committee is diversified and balanced. Council is expected to confirm the Mayor's appointments in February. Terms become effective immediately, meetings begin in March and terms expire on Dec. 31, 2019.
