Posted on: January 14, 2019[ARCHIVED] Kiwanis Club of Issaquah: Community Blood Drive
Kiwanis Club of
Issaquah is hosting a community blood drive, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 1 at
the EF&R fire station at 175 Newport Way NW, Issaquah.
You will see the bus parked alongside the
road, with easy ingress/egress and parking. Bloodworks
Northwest will take walk ups or those who make an appointment. Donors can reserve an appointment time by
emailing to marjboy@comcast.net.
Anyone who is in good health, is at least 18 years old
(persons 16 or 17 years old may donate with a Blood Program permission slip signed by a parent or guardian), and weighs at
least 114 pounds. A healthy adult can
donate every 56 days.
Please bring your
photo ID and/or a Bloodworks NW donor card. Be prepared to take a brief and confidential health screening survey
when you arrive.
It takes about 7-10 minutes to fill a pint bag of blood, or
even less if you have adequately hydrated the night before. The health screening, donation and 20 minute
recovery makes this a 30 minute process.
(Not including wait time if there is a line). During recovery you will be offered
juice/water and a cracker.
Please consider donating
blood to help meet the continuing needs of the region
