Nominate
outstanding citizens for the Ruth Kees Environmental Award — our community’s
highest honor for environmental advocates — and the Community Environmental Award.
Kees’ namesake award honors the legacy of a grassroots activist who for more
than four decades advocated for the preservation of landmarks and natural
areas, sustainable development, recycling programs, and the protection of the
Issaquah Valley Aquifer and Tiger Mountain.
The award recognizes the efforts of exemplary individuals for environmental
excellence and demonstrating enduring vision, dedication and lasting effects.
Building upon the legacy of the Kees award, the Community Environmental Award
recognizes outstanding achievements by individuals, groups and
organizations.
These achievements are noteworthy in their impact and benefit to the community,
while also smaller in scale or vision, shorter in duration or more localized in
impact.

nomination form.
The nomination deadline is 5 p.m. March 8, 2019.
