Now Installed: Southeast 62nd Street Artwork

Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians can now all enjoy new artwork along Southeast 62nd Street! Artist Susan Zoccola was inspired by the surrounding landscape and circulatory system of paths and roadways at the City’s largest capital project in its history.

The visual references Zoccola used in designing the artwork include moving wheels and the flowing water of rivers. The swirling “wheel” shapes are made from lasercut sheet steel, which are custom bent into various curves.

The new installations are located on both sides of the new bridge along Southeast 62nd Street.
