Zoccola was inspired by the surrounding landscape and circulatory system of
paths and roadways at the City’s largest capital project in its history.
visual references Zoccola used in designing the artwork include moving wheels
and the flowing water of rivers. The swirling “wheel” shapes are made from
lasercut sheet steel, which are custom bent into various curves.
