[ARCHIVED] Coming Attractions: Cinema Opening Benefits Food Bank

Experience the Issaquah Highlands Stadium 12 IMAX & RPX cinema — and help the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank at the same time.

Regal Entertainment Group is celebrating the grand opening of the theater with $2 movies to benefit local charities.

Saturday, June 29, 2013, is “Regal’s Recipe for Hope” to benefit the food bank. The lineup includes recent Hollywood hits and selected food-themed films. All proceeds benefit the food bank.

Sunday, June 30, 2013, is “Read It and See It at Regal,” a lineup of book-related films to benefit Newspapers in Education.

Monday, July 1, 2013, benefits ArtsFund of Seattle during “Regal Superheroes for a Cause” for a superhero-inspired day at the movies.

The theater’s official grand opening is 7 p.m. July 2, 2013, with “The Lone Ranger” and “Despicable Me 2.”

Moviegoers can enjoy free popcorn and soft drinks with each paid admission from July 2-11.

The 12-screen theater can accommodate more than 2,500 moviegoers.

In addition to the cinema, the area is in the midst of a building boom to add more retail options. The projects form the heart of Issaquah Highlands’ town center. See our project page for more information.
