[ARCHIVED] Election 2019: Candidate Filing Starts May 13

Residents interested in running for local public office can file as candidates with King County Elections as soon as May 13, 2019.


Online candidate filing is available 24 hours a day starting at 9 a.m. May 13, and ending at 4 p.m. May 17.

City of Issaquah Offices In Issaquah, the following nonpartisan City offices will be up for election in 2019:

  • City Council Position No. 2 
  • City Council Position No. 3 (unexpired two-year term) 
  • City Council Position No. 4 
  • City Council Position No. 6  

Candidates must be registered voters at the time of filing, and Issaquah residents for at least one year on Election Day. There is a fee of $150 (equal to 1 percent of the annual salary of $15,000) due at the time of filing.
