On June 12 staff held an open house at Tibbets Creek Manor to share the design work underway for Newport Way Northwest between state Route 900 and Southeast 54th Street.
The project is at 60% design with the target to have 90% design done by the end of the year.
At the open house, staff shared some recommendations from a value engineering study, discussed project funding, and spoke about various elements of design along the corridor.
Staff also presented improvements to the 60% design, answered questions and reviewed next steps—see the open house summary.
In addition to this project, over the next several years, numerous public and private projects are planned along Newport Way Northwest between State Route 900 and Southeast 54th Street.
These projects include new homes, a new roundabout, a culvert replacement, road improvements, tree removal and new landscaping. See our latest estimated timeline.
