Road improvements are being done on Black Nugget Road and Issaquah-Fall City Road starting on Aug. 9 at 9:30 a.m. 

Work hours are weekdays 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. That work is expected to take approximately 2 weeks.

The first stage will take place on Black Nugget Road between Issaquah-Fall City Road and Highlands Drive where work crews will be performing work on the south side of the street and lane adjustments will be in place to allow continued traffic flow. The south side sidewalk will be closed while the north side remains open.

The second stage will take place on Issaquah-Fall City Road at Black Nugget Road as work crews add frontage improvements, a side walk and a bike lane near the new Sunrise Memory Care Development. This work will require a right turn detour up Issaquah-Fall City Road to NE Highlands Drive so the construction zones can remain closed to traffic during construction hours. Once work is completed each afternoon, the lane will be reopened to traffic. 

Drivers should be prepared for potential delays.
