[ARCHIVED] - Traffic Alert: Newport Way Improvements -

Road improvements are being done on Newport Way starting on Aug. 12 at 8:45 a.m.

Work hours are weekdays 8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. That work is expected to take approximately 3 weeks.

Crews will be completing roadwork including a center median and central turn lane as part of the Issaquah Gateway Senior Housing Project frontage improvements. Flaggers will be onsite to direct one way alternating traffic and two way traffic will be restored each afternoon.

During construction, crews will be removing the westbound travel lane pavement and the lane will have a temporary gravel surface until the road is repaved.

Drivers should use extreme caution and be prepared for potential delays.
