[ARCHIVED] Confluence Park: Maintenance Project

We are enhancing Confluence Park! This lawn and irrigation project will provide park users with green grass year-round, and more useable grass surfaces.

Work will take place in the Tolle Anderson Homestead and Cybil-Madeline Green areas of the park, and will begin the last week of August 2019.

The lawn and irrigation project will include:

  • Improving the grass (lawn) areas including fresh hydroseed and sod
  • Installation of a complete irrigation system
  • Installation of a new drinking fountain near the playground
  • Placing fresh bark around trees

Access through the park will stay open, and we will do our best to reduce construction impacts. Work is anticipated to be completed this Fall.

Confluence Park is a public park intended as a gathering space to support a variety of uses throughout these lawn areas including passive (picnicking, reading, and relaxing) and active (drop-in volleyball, playing catch, community events, etc.) pursuits. This work will support and improve the user experience, and is funded through a State of Washington grant and other City funds.
