Real estate appraisers for the King County Department of Assessments will be performing physical inspections in the Issaquah Highlands area this fall through the summer of 2020.
These inspections take place once every six years for all real estate in King County. The Issaquah Highlands last had physical inspections in late 2014/early 2015.
These inspections typically include driving through neighborhoods and knocking on doors to gather information about any changes to the property since the last inspection six years ago. In the more rural areas, this typically means driving up driveways, making an introduction if anyone is home, and walking the site to inspect land conditions and outbuildings.
Appraisers wear badges with their photo identifying themselves as King County Assessor officials and often are driving county vehicles with the King County logo. Sometimes appraisers will use their personal vehicles, but will still have a badge identifying themselves as county officials.
