Confluence Park Turf and Irrigation Project Update

Confluence Park

The Confluence Park Turf and Irrigation project is in its final phase – the lawn establishment period.

The sodded area (adjacent to the picnic shelter) opened to the public the first week of Nov. 2019. Remaining fenced areas of the park were hydroseeded at later times. Establishing hydroseed takes time and is weather dependent. We are closely monitoring each of the fenced areas of the park and will continue to open areas as they become established.

It is likely that some areas may stay closed throughout the winter due to their late seeding date. If areas of the park are opened up too early, we run the risk of damaging the project - both the soil surface and the new lawn. Any areas that do not take over the winter will be reseeded in spring 2020.

Thank you for your patience with this project and we look forward to enjoying Confluence Park lawns with you.
