[ARCHIVED] Follow-Up: Olde Town Traffic Calming

Following public testimony during the City Council’s Nov. 4, 2019 meeting concerning traffic calming measures and safety, here’s a recap of the questions/concerns, along with more information and answers that can be provided expeditiously.

As the City conducts a more thorough review of the issues raised, a presentation and further recommendations will be made at a City Council study session in early 2020. Sign up for Olde Town updates at issaquahwa.gov/notifyme.

As background, in an effort to reduce speeds and traffic volumes in Olde Town, the City installed permanent traffic calming measures in the fall of 2018. The traffic calming design was based on a pilot study that the City conducted earlier in 2018 and revised using further data and feedback.
