Each year, the City of Issaquah invests in arts and culture for the community, through a competitive grants program that supports quality arts programming, arts education, cultural events and festivals.
For 2020, the Arts Commission recommended and the City Council awarded $175,000 to 27 unique projects — ranging from free community music series and Shakespeare in the Park to arts programs for local schools and at-risk youth.
The funded activities together will offer arts and culture programming and engagement opportunities throughout the year – with more than 200 free events for residents and visitors.
