Crews recently installed temporary radar speed signs at the Southeast 43rd and East Lake Sammamish Parkway roundabout.
Permanent radar speed signs have been ordered, but are anticipated to take up to six-months to receive from the factory.
Meanwhile, the temporary radar speed signs are battery and solar operated. With limited daylight, the batteries are draining more quickly, so drivers can expect the signs to not work some of the time.
City operations crews will be changing the batteries on a monthly basis until the permanent signs arrive for installation.
