In 2018, Issaquah updated its Olde Town Subarea Plan, which calls for new Design Standards and Architectural Guidelines— in other words, what a property looks like (types of materials used, window types, roof styles, set-backs and more) – in certain areas.
We hope you’ll join us Jan. 11 for a walking tour and community workshop, where we will start the conversation about what should – or shouldn’t – be considered as architectural standards and guidelines for specifically Single Family-Duplex zoning (see map) in Olde Town.
Meet us at the Issaquah Senior Center, 75 N.E. Creek Way:
- 9-10 a.m. – Walking tour of Olde Town. Staff will be pointing out different architectural elements to provide ideas of what could be considered as a standard or guideline.
- 10 a.m.-noon – After a brief presentation, attendees will break into small teams to share ideas, and then report out to the larger group.
Come for the walking tour, workshop or both! Any input you can provide is welcome.
Feedback from the meeting will be compiled and posted on issaquahwa.gov/oldetowncode.
