The City of Sammamish will be closing Southeast Issaquah-Fall City Road starting April 13 as part of a project to widen the road to four lanes, between 242nd Avenue Southeast and Klahanie Drive Southeast. The additional lanes – along with new roundabouts at 242nd, 247th and Klahanie Drive – will improve traffic flow and reduce commute times on this highly-trafficked roadway.
Work is expected to take place from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. weekdays, with optional Saturday work from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Drivers should know:
- During the week of April 13-18, the road will be closed between 245th Lane Southeast and Klahanie Boulevard for roadway grading and shifting of the roadway access in front of Pacific Cascade Middle School.
- Local access will be maintained during the closure.
- The section between 245th Lane Southeast and 247th Place Southeast will reopen by the end of the day on April 18, weather permitting.
- Starting on April 20, the roadway closure will be between 247th Place Southeast and Klahanie Boulevard. This closure is expected to last through December 2020.
