[ARCHIVED] Infrastructure Improvements: Water Main Work to Continue

Beginning April 13, the City of Issaquah will resume work to replace 50-year-old water mains in the South Cove neighborhood.

The project has been approved as essential work to continue, since it improves vital infrastructure.

The first phase will take place along Southeast 44th Way from 188th Avenue Southeast to 193rd Avenue Southeast. The second phase will take place along 191st Avenue Southeast from Southeast 44th Way to the cul-de-sac.

Work will take place from 7 a.m.- 6 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays.

Residents can expect impacts to some on-street parking, but crews will coordinate with homeowners ahead of time.

The City currently has no plans to shut off water during the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order. Before the end of this project in late summer, however, water will have to be shut off for approximately six hours (affected homeowners will be notified at least 48 hours in advance).
