[ARCHIVED] - Chalk Art Festival: Create Artwork from the Ground Up -

Create artwork from the ground up at our annual Chalk Art Festival.

Each summer, artists of all ages come to create chalk artwork on the sidewalks around the Issaquah Community Center during the Issaquah Arts Commission's annual event.

The free festival is from noon-5 p.m. July 30, 2013, on the sidewalks around the community center, 301 Rainier Blvd. S. Arrive early to choose a spot in the shade! The event precedes that night’s Concerts on the Green event.

Chalk, water and snacks are provided to participants at no charge. The top artists receive prizes for their handiwork.

Watch our video to see local artist Abigail Platter create the artwork used on this year’s festival.
