Following hillside movement in late 2015, the property owner of Parcel 9 – located in Talus near the intersection of Northwest Talus Drive and Shangri-La Way Northwest – has been stabilizing the property with several measures, including the installation of four walls.
Crews have now removed the temporary block wall at the base of the site, as well as the plastic that covered most of the property. The site was hydroseeded, and access routes were mulched in advance of the wet season. The sidewalk around the site has also been temporarily restored.
The City has informed the property owner that before development could move forward, the property must demonstrate its stability for a normal wet season (through April 2021).
