Title: Northwest Paracosm
Artist Statement:
Take a walk, run or ride out of the ordinary and step into this Northwest Paracosm. However, this detailed imaginary world is still grounded in reality with real-world characters. Most all of us can relate to the animals and scenery depicted, thus creating a “safe” conceptual direction. For that reason, I decided to give this project an artistic flare by painting these well know and slightly elusive creatures with bright, highly saturated colors. Pushing the boundaries both artistically and conceptually.
