It’s time to celebrate! The City of Issaquah recently purchased two acres of undeveloped land – located just west of Gilman Village along Issaquah Creek – that will now become protected open space.
We're hosting a celebration and ribbon cutting from noon-1 p.m. July 24, 2013, at the corner of Northwest Juniper Street and Fifth Avenue Northwest.
The land, purchased with King County Conservation Future Funds, will be added to Issaquah’s “green necklace” of trails, parks and open space that are connected throughout Central Issaquah.
This acquisition supports the City’s larger Issaquah Creek Waterways Program, which focuses on acquiring properties that are located along the creek that can be restored and enhanced for fish and wildlife habitat.
