[ARCHIVED] - Calling All Artists: Seeking Bicycle Rack Design -

The City of Issaquah Office of Sustainability, in partnership with the Issaquah Arts Commission, invites artists to apply for the opportunity to design original artwork for City bicycle racks.

As part of a citywide Bicycle & Pedestrian Action Plan, we’re adding many new bicycle racks to the downtown core.

The City will use a standard inverted U rack, but will add an artist-designed element to the inner space.
This call is a request for artist qualifications only. The selected artist will work with the City to design appropriate artwork to be incorporated into the bicycle racks. The artist is not responsible for fabrication or installation.

The artist will receive $2,500 for the artwork design.

Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. Aug. 16, 2013. For more information, email Arts Coordinator Amy Dukes.
