Now that local schools are open to some in-person learning, the City’s school zones are in effect. In addition, the City’s speed cameras on Second Avenue Southeast are also operating.
Speed zones are now enforced on the following weekdays (except Wednesdays):
- 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Newport Way Northwest (near Issaquah Valley Elementary)
- 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Second Avenue Southeast (near Issaquah middle and high schools)
- 7 a.m.-1 p.m. on Northeast Park Drive (near Grand Ridge Elementary)
The Issaquah Police Department’s school zone program aims to enhance safety near several schools. The speed limit in a school zone is 20 miles per hour.
