[ARCHIVED] Issaquah Hatchery: Summer Camps

The Friends of the Issaquah State Hatchery (FISH) have openings remaining in a number of their summer camps

LITTLE FRY SUMMER CAMP

Make a big splash during FISH’s Little Fry camp for preschoolers!

Ages: 3-5 years old

July 11-15 — 1-4 p.m.

Cost:

  • $160 for FISH members
  • $185 for non-members (discounts available for siblings)

Little Fry campers find out the answers to “Where do salmon live? And who lives near the salmon?” Campers will also explore the salmon hatchery and Issaquah Creek, create an animal track to take home, become a salmon, act like a bug, and sing the songs of water. This camp will encourage the joy of discovery and cultivate a sense of wonder in the environment and in salmon. Register here.

SALMON SCIENCE CAMP

Camps are broken up by age group:

Cost

  • $260 for FISH members
  • $285 for non-members (discounts available for siblings)

Campers will have fun learning all about the salmon life cycle and watershed stewardship as they conduct a water quality and aquatic insect study of Issaquah Creek, perform experiments, go on a nature hike, make arts and crafts, play games, use microscopes, hear Native American legends and more!
