Street improvements are coming to several Issaquah neighborhoods soon, thanks to the City’s upcoming paving project (see map).
Crews – who will work with residents and businesses to minimize impacts with driveways – will start the work on Sept. 9. Paving is expected to be done by early October, depending on weather.
Most of the work will be done from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekdays, while Newport Way (near the Park and Ride) and 12th Avenue Northwest (from Gilman north) will be done at night.
The schedule for the week of Sept. 9 includes:
Sept. 9 – grinding of old streets:
• Southeast 188th – from West Lake Sammamish to Southeast 42nd Place• Southeast 41st Court – from Southeast 187th to the end
• Southeast 42nd Place – from 187th to the end (both sides of 187th)
Sept. 10-11 – grinding of old streets: • Northeast Alder Street – from Second Avenue Northeast to Third Avenue Northeast
• Northeast Birch Street – from Second Avenue Northeast to Third Avenue Northeast• Second Avenue Northeast – from Northeast Creek Way to the end
• Northeast Creek Way – from Second Avenue Northeast to Third Avenue Northeast• Southeast Croston Lane – from Second Avenue Northeast to the east
• Southeast Andrews Street – from Rainier Blvd South to the east end
Sept. 12-13 – paving:• Southeast 188th – from West Lake Sammamish to Southeast 42nd Place
