On 01/09/23 around 0039 hrs, a blue Honda Civic was observed running a red light and proceeding to swerve in and out of lanes. Officers stopped the vehicle and found the driver had been drinking and was not safe to drive. The driver was then arrested for DUI.

6100 BLK East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE

Around 1107 hrs, an officer observed a white Toyota Camry that was suspected to be stolen at a local business. After confirmation that the vehicle was stolen, officers arrested a female attempting to get into the car and confiscated over 30 fentanyl pills, a stolen checkbook and stolen social security card, among other items.

IPD was contacted by a local preschool teacher to arrange for an officer to visit and spend time with the children. Our officers love spending time with kids of all ages and were excited to receive the request!

100 BLK East Sunset Way

On 01/10/23, a man was seen screaming while laying down in front of the police station. Officers responded to check on the individual who reported he had missed his bus to Seattle and needed a ride back. An officer contacted the city Human Services team to assist the man and gave him a homeless resource kit while he waited for his ride.

01/10/23, 2244

900 BLK NE Park DR

A call was received around 2244 hrs reporting a vehicle was broken into while parked directly in front of a local business. The caller’s passport, driver’s license, credit/debit card and insurance cards were all stolen. It is unclear how the car was broken into, but no damage was reported.

01/11/23, 0405

200 BLK NW Dogwood ST

On 01/11/23 at approximately 0405 hrs, an officer noticed a house garage door open with valuables left in sight. Out of concern for the residents, contact was made to be sure they were alright. The residents reported they were fine and were unaware of the garage door status and would secure their door immediately.

700 BLK NW Gilman BLVD

A man was caught stealing two containers of alcohol and 3 packs of meat from a local business. Officers were able to apprehend him and arrest him for theft.

900 BLK NE Ingram Way

A call reporting a noise complaint was received on the evening of 01/11/23. Responding officers found 3 youths playing on a basketball court. Officers deemed they were not being loud and decided to leave the kids to finish their game.

5000 BLK 221st PL SE

Between 0000—0400 hrs of 01/12/23, 14 storage units were burglarized from a local business. IPD is awaiting further information and video footage from the business to investigate further.

200 BLK NW Dogwood ST

On 01/12/23, at about 1345 hrs a resident called reporting about an hour prior, the tire to their vehicle was slashed. At the same time, a male was heard banging on their door, yelling obscenities. The suspect is described as a white male, 6ft tall, wearing a beanie and dark clothing. The male was riding a white bicycle.

600 BLK 2nd AVE SE

Officers are presently investigating an alleged altercation involving an adult and roughly 10 juveniles that took place around 1437 hrs on school grounds on 01/13/23.

01/13/23, 1539

East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE & SE 62nd ST

Around 1539 hrs, a concerned citizen called reporting a black cargo van with no plates driving erratically. The vehicle reportedly nearly hit pedestrians, drove into oncoming traffic and ran a red light before heading towards I-90. Officers responded but were unable to locate the vehicle. Washington State Patrol was notified thereafter.

1000 BLK 24th PL NE

On 01/14/23, a concerned citizen reported an individual threatening to fatally harm the caller and set their place on fire. Alternative housing was arranged while IPD continues investigation into the threats.

1000 BLK 12th AVE NW

Around 2317 hrs, a call came in from a local employee suggesting a woman was reportedly soliciting herself in a parking lot with children in a vehicle. Responding officers were unable to locate the female.

01/15/23, 1415

900 BLK NE Park DR

On 01/15/23, a group of juveniles were reported inside a local business, allegedly banging on doors and refusing to leave the property. Officers responded and told the juveniles to leave unless they had business there. No damage had occurred.
