[ARCHIVED] Washington Conservation Crew Restoration Work Begins

WCC volunteers planting trees

Washington Conservation Crews (WCC) are in Issaquah for a seven week partnership with the City. During the first week the team planted 963 native trees, 244 native plants and removed 7,200 sq. ft. of invasive plants at five different parks and open space locations within the City.

Planting sites included: Squak Valley Park North, Park Pointe, Pickering Reach, Sammamish Cove, and Confluence Park/East Fork of Issaquah Creek.

We are excited to see their progress during the entire partnership window.
