[ARCHIVED] Peeping Tom-Related Incidents

News Alert

The Issaquah Police Department (IPD) is presently investigating a series of over 10 suspicious incidents over the last month, in which a man has been seen peering in the windows of residences around North Issaquah. In many of these cases, the subject has been seen inappropriately touching and/or exposing himself while watching residents.

The suspect in these incidents has approached homes from wooded/greenbelt areas in the evenings. He is described as a middle aged, medium skin tone male, possibly Hispanic, wearing a tan or dark jacket and is often seen riding a bike for transportation.

IPD has identified a potential suspect common in several of these cases. However, in each of these, the victim(s) declined to assist in prosecution and charges were not requested or they declined statements. While we know and understand that these types of calls can be frightening, please know that without your help we are limited in what we can do. A positive identification and subsequent victim statement are necessary to move forward in an arrest.

Please call 911 to report any suspicious activity outside your home and be sure to let officers know if you have any available doorbell or surveillance camera footage from the time of the incident. If you’re aware of any similar incidents, which haven’t yet been reported to police, please contact IPD at 425-837-3200.

Investigators are following up on active leads and we’ll have more information on this case as it develops.
