The blotter compiles incidents deemed noteworthy by IPD and does not include all calls, incidents or self-initiated activities handled by officers. Call Type: Theft Report

Time/Date: 1433, 04/24/23

Location: 700 BLK NW GILMAN BLVD

Description: On 04/24/23, a call came in reporting two young males were observed concealing video game-related electronics under their jackets. They attempted to leave the store without paying and were detained by local loss prevention staff. Responding officers arrested both subjects on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree and transported them to the Issaquah City Jail. All merchandise was recovered.  

Call Type: Suspicious/ DV Assault

Time/Date: 2021, 04/24/23

Location: 1000 BLK 7TH AVE NW

Description: Around 2021 hrs, a concerned resident called to report seeing a female with facial injuries in the lobby of their apartment building. Responding officers called for aid to evaluate the female, who was then transported to the hospital for their injuries. The responsible party who assaulted the female was issued a citation for arrest upon investigation of Assault in the 4th Degree (DV) and Malicious Mischief in the 3rd Degree (DV). 

Call Type: Theft In-Progress

Time/Date: 1634, 04/25/23

Location: 6100 BLK East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE

Description: At approximately 1634 hrs on 04/25/23, a local business called to report a white male was seen stealing items and took off on foot towards a medical center parking lot. Responding officers located the male getting into the passenger side of a gray car. The vehicle was pulled over and the subject was arrested on investigation for Theft in the 3rd Degree.

Call Type: Vehicle Theft In-Progress

Time/Date: 0821, 04/26/23

Location: 1500 BLK NW Gilman BLVD

Description: On 04/26/23, a caller reported their vehicle stolen within the last 5 minutes prior to calling. The individual had their keys on a cart and stepped away for a moment to return to the keys missing. After looking around, they went outside to find their car missing. The car was found the next day, abandoned after a crash in Bellevue. IPD is waiting for video footage of the incident in hopes to identify the suspect. 

NOTE: Majority of car thieves are opportunists; meaning we can prevent a good chunk of these thefts by reducing opportunities for theft. Please do not leave your car keys or other personal items left unattended in public. Additionally, make sure to park in a well-lit location and lock your doors when you leave the vehicle.    

Call Type: Suspicious/ Warrant

Time/Date: 0231, 04/27/23

Location: 12TH AVE NW & Newport Way NW

Description: Around 0231 hrs on 04/27/23, a vehicle was observed stopped at an intersection with the driver slumped over. The responding officer made contact and requested aid to check on the driver. While they cleared the subject, multiple warrants came back for the subject’s arrest out of another jurisdiction. Once medically cleared, the subject was arrested on their multiple warrants and transported to the Issaquah City Jail. 

Call Type: Suspicious (Curious Case of Agility)

Time/Date: 1512, 04/29/23

Location: 18000 BLK SE Newport Way 

Description: On 04/29/23, an individual called to report witnessing a male subject enter a unit through the second-floor balcony and did not recall seeing them before. Responding officers contacted the agile subject and discovered the male in fact lived there but was in process of cleaning and got caught outside due to a jammed front door.     

Call Type: Theft Report

Time/Date: 2220, 04/29/23

Location: 6300 BLK East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE

Description: Around 2220 hrs, a call came in from a local employee reporting multiple suspects stole a large quantity of merchandise and shoved the employee before running out of the business. IPD is still awaiting further information from the business to proceed. 

Call Type: DUI (Multiple)

Time/Date: Between 2238 on 04/29/23 – 0230 on 04/30/23

Location: Across Issaquah area

Description: There were multiple instances of individuals driving while under the influence between the hours of 2238 on 04/29/23 – 0230 on 04/30/23, one of which resulted in a minor crash with a cement median. In each of these cases, responding officers found the drivers unable to safely operate their vehicles and arrested the drivers on investigation of Driving Under the Influence. 

NOTE: With exception to one case with minor injuries to the driver, it was very fortunate that in all these instances, no other persons were injured. Please do not drink and drive. If you need a ride, call a friend, or order a ride. We would even prefer you call the police department rather than get behind the wheel of a vehicle if you have been drinking. Please drink responsibly.
