Before the cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie, burn some calories for a good cause at the Issaquah Turkey Trot.
The casual, fun 5K begins at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, 2013. All proceeds from the event benefit the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank.

The course starts and ends along 12th Avenue Northwest near Issaquah City Hall Northwest. The following streets will be closed for the event:
• 10th Avenue Northwest before the Costco warehouse and Pickering Barn parking lots. (Vehicles can make a U-turn; a police officer will be there to direct traffic.)
• Lake Drive from the Costco gas station exit through 10th Avenue Northwest.• 12th Avenue Northwest after the back entrance to Holiday Inn. (A police officer will be there to direct traffic.)
• Vehicles can go straight through the 11th Avenue Northwest intersection, but cannot turn left or right. (A police officer will be there to direct traffic.)
Road closure signs will be placed along affected streets starting Nov. 25, 2013.
