[ARCHIVED] Meet Your Next Issaquah City Council Member

In December, we put out a call to find the next member of the Issaquah City Council.

Now, seven residents have answered our invitation to serve. Meet the applicants for our open council seat:

• Terry Davis

• Tim Flood

• Cyrus Krohn

• Nina Milligan

• Joan Probala

• Bill Ramos

• Bryan Weinstein

The seat opened after Fred Butler resigned from the council to serve as mayor of Issaquah.

Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old, a registered voter and resident of the City of Issaquah for at least one year prior to the appointment.

Next, applicants will have the opportunity to provide a 10-minute verbal presentation to the council during its Jan. 21, 2014, meeting. That meeting is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 135 E. Sunset Way.

The council expects to fill the vacancy during its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 3, 2014. The newest councilmember will then take office during that meeting, and he or she will serve until November 2015.
