[ARCHIVED] Police Seek Public’s Help to Find Suspect in Stabbing

Issaquah police are seeking the public’s assistance to find a suspect in a recent stabbing.

Police responded to a stabbing in the area of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery, 125 W. Sunset Way, at 10:25 p.m. March 14, 2014.

When officers arrived, they located a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed. The suspect had fled. Officers then searched the area, but could not locate the suspect.

Based on information from numerous witnesses and the man wounded in the stabbing, police are seeking Benjamin T. Haldeman as a suspect.

Haldeman, of Issaquah, is a 20-year-old white man; 5-feet, 8-inches tall; 160 pounds with green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket and gray sweatpants, and carrying a black backpack.

He should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him or have information on his whereabouts, do not attempt to contact him. Call 911 immediately.

The man wounded in the stabbing was transported to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, where he was treated for his injury.
