[ARCHIVED] You're Invited: Plant Trees to Celebrate Arbor Day

Arbor Day

Join us to plant trees April 26, 2014, and celebrate Arbor Day.

Volunteers are needed to plant trees along Issaquah Creek and Pickering Trail. To participate, check in at the information booth near the Pickering Trail entrance between 9-11 a.m. Planting will take place from 11 a.m.-noon.

Dress appropriately for the weather, and bring a pair of gardening gloves to wear. Tools will be provided for volunteers.

The community tree planting is hosted by the City of Issaquah Parks & Recreation Department.

Issaquah has been a Tree City USA for the last 20 years. Citywide, it has a tree canopy coverage of 56 percent, meaning that more than half of the land mass in Issaquah has some tree canopy coverage.
