[ARCHIVED] You're Invited: "Women of Persia" Free Art Exhibition

Experience the beauty and strength of artist Farshad Alamdari’s “Women of Persia” series on display at Blakely Hall.

Join us as artEAST presents the free exhibition at Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive, through May 30, 2014. The opening reception and artist talk will be from 6-8 p.m. April 19.

Alamdari is a Persian native and a lifelong observer of profound, beautiful subtleties.

“The Women of Persia series was inspired by the greatest influences in my life — three amazing and extraordinary women — my mother, my wife and my daughter,” he said. “Collectively, they reflect a stirring cycle of survival, progress and triumph in the struggle for gender equality. These three women in my life humble and inspire me — and shaped the Women of Persia series.”
