Get ready to hit the road at the Kids Bike Rodeo.
Join us from 9 a.m.-noon May 18, 2014, at Pickering Barn, 1730 10th Ave. N.W., for free bike safety checks and helmet fittings, a bike safety and skills course, music, raffles, refreshments and more.
In addition, free helmets will be available for children in need.
Donate a used bicycle to receive a raffle ticket. Children can bring their own refillable water bottle for a raffle ticket.
The event is presented by Recology CleanScapes, the City of Issaquah and Bike Works.
Since 2010, Recology CleanScapes has saved more than 8,000 bicycles from landfills through its partnership with Bike Works, a local nonprofit that refurbishes bikes to be sold or donated locally and internationally.
The Kids Bike Rodeo is a zero waste, zero cost event.
