June 13, 6:30 PM @ Council Chambers, City Hall South
Unless otherwise posted, meetings are held the second and fourth Thursday of each month.
The Planning Policy Commission will hold a hearing at its regular meeting on June 13, continued from May 23, to take public testimony on the proposed Issaquah Municipal Code amendments to IMC 18.10.940 Shoreline Master Program (SMP). The Shoreline Management Act (SMA) requires each SMP be reviewed and revised, if needed on an eight-year schedule established by the Legislature. Proposed amendments include:
1) incorporating recent SMA amendments into the SMP;
2) updating the SMP to be consistent with recently annexed Lake Sammamish State Park, the Central Issaquah Plan and Parks Strategic Plan; and,
3) updating definitions and code references.
These proposed amendments may change as a result of the public review process.
June 13, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM @ Beaver Lake Middle School
The Cities of Sammamish and Issaquah are identifying priority projects that help reduce flooding and preserve natural areas in the Laughing Jacobs watershed, which spans southern Sammamish and northern Issaquah.
At the open house, residents can share priorities and ideas for their neighborhood, learn more about the future of their local watershed, hear what has been learned about local needs and values from the survey and chat one-on-one with the project team.
There will be stations set up where residents can learn about the basin plan and share input. Parking is available on-site.
