  1. Strategies to Stay Safe and Prevent Poisoning During Covid-19

    May 12, 2020, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Virtual

Join this weekly Virtual Learning Lab Series for seniors 55+ on Zoom and/or conference call to hear from a different expert addressing an aspect of COVID-19. Call to register at 425-392-2381 or email katharinew@issaquahwa.gov to access the Zoom link. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused many changes in our daily lives. We are spending more time at home, sanitizing more often, might be distracted or stressed, and may have limited access to the people, services, and supports we previously relied on. All of these changes can lead to accidental poisonings with medications, cleaners, sanitizers, and more. Thankfully, there are easy strategies to stay safe and prevent poisoning. Join Meghan King, a public health educator at the Washington Poison Center, for an overview of the risks to look out for and simple strategies to “poison proof” your home and daily routines.
