Human Services Commission - Special Meeting

This is a special meeting of the commission to attend the two-part Equity in Issaquah Community Convening to receive community feedback on the role of residents in the City’s equity initiatives, and to brainstorm the creation of a new Board/Commission on equity.

Public Hearing: Proposed Issaquah Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map Amendments for 2021

The Planning Policy Commission will hold a public hearing on January 28, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to take public testimony on the docket (list) of proposed Issaquah Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map amendments for 2021, including but not limited to:

1. Land Use Element population, housing and jobs numbers;
2. Land Use Element Remaining Land Supply and Capacity numbers;
3. Land Use Element climate change goals and policies;
4. Olde Town Subarea Plan Action Program and Implementation Table;
5. Capital Facilities Element Public Facilities Map; and
6. Zoning Map, including: Community Facilities designations and rezones for public land that is used for public purpose.

Equity in Issaquah: Community Convening

The City of Issaquah’s Human Services Commission is hosting two virtual community convenings to discuss the role of residents in the City’s equity initiatives, and to brainstorm the creation of a new Board/Commission on equity.

Virtual Event: Community Awards Ceremony

Join us in celebrating all our local heroes at the 2021 Annual Issaquah Community Awards Ceremony, which will be virtual and free to attend this year!

Each year the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce sponsors this event to give special recognition to members of our community who serve Issaquah with distinction. The event is held to recognize and honor those who give selflessly of their time, talent and energy to help others, while building an ever-stronger community and improving the quality of life.

The City of Issaquah, the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce, along with several local nonprofit organizations and the Issaquah School District are among those who will be presenting awards recognizing those that exemplify the best of our Issaquah community.
