  2. Public Hearing: Public Records Fees

    The Issaquah City Council will hold a public hearing at a regular meeting on November 6, 2023, commencing at approximately 7:00 PM, to take public testimony regarding a proposed fee schedule for public records requests.

    The City is allowed to collect fees for certain aspects of providing public records under RCW 42.56.120 by either adopting the state allowable fees or conducting a cost study. The City of Issaquah conducted a cost study and is proposing fees based on the findings. This study also included fees specific to police record cost recovery and body worn camera redaction costs.

    The proposed fee schedule and statement of costs is available online at issaquahwa.gov/prrdraftfees. The fee schedule may change as a result of the public review process.
